Vampire Novel Question?

I'm not understanding the question in this... but this whole need for a royal father's approval reminds me a lot of how royal children would often want their parents approval but never receive it. Kinda reminds me of the Tudor kids. Sorry, I read a lot of historical fiction. Anyhoo, more clarification about your question would help people answer better.
