Baffled by Adult Sons reaction to divorce?

Unfortunately after such a long period of abuse, your sons may think it normal behavior and therefore see no reason for you to leave. There is nothing you can do about this. Hopefully they don't abuse their future partners either. Let's hope that with some maturity they come round, and congratulations on leaving, it would have been such a hard decision I know.
